Optoma Photon Go Overview
Display and Design
The Photon Go packs a 1080p Full HD DLP panel and uses an RGB triple-laser light source that covers up to 150% of the DCI-P3 color space. Its ultra-short throw lens can project a 100-inch image from just around 25 cm away. At 1.72 kg, it’s small enough to move between rooms or even outdoors.
Performance and Smart Features
Inside, there’s Google TV support with access to Netflix, YouTube, and other apps. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and has HDMI 2.0 and USB-C ports for external sources. Input lag is about 27 ms—fine for casual gaming but not for competitive play.
Audio and Battery
Two built-in 10W Dolby Audio speakers handle sound. The internal battery gives around 1.5 hours of projection or up to 4 hours if you’re just using it as a Bluetooth speaker. It charges via USB-C and can run on external power for longer sessions.
Practical Bits
Automatic ToF autofocus and keystone correction make setup quick. Brightness is rated at 650 ANSI lumens, so you’ll want a dim or dark space for the best picture. Optoma claims 20,000 hours of laser life, and the projector supports 24/7 operation.
