Dell 14 Plus and 14 Plus 2-in-1 launched with Intel's "Lunar Lake" CPUs

Dell has launched two new midrange laptops in its revamped 14 Plus series. Including the standard Dell 14 Plus and the convertible 14 Plus 2-in-1, both of which are powered by Intel's newest Lunar Lake processors. So, without further ado, let's head into the specs, design, features, and expected price of the Dell 14 Plus series in Nepal in this article.

Display and design

Starting with the display, the Dell 14 Plus has a 14-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels for sharp visuals and rich colors. There's even an upgrade option to 2560 x 1600 pixels for clearer detail. The screen has an anti-glare finish, which is ideal for students, professionals, and creatives, but outdoors in direct sunlight, visibility will be limited. In terms of portability, the laptop weighs just 1.55 kg and measures 17mm thick, striking a decent balance between screen size and portability. Performance

For the performance, the Dell 14 Plus is comes with the latest Intel "Lunar Lake" Core Ultra 200V processors. It comes with either Core Ultra 5 226V in the base variant or flagship Core Ultra 9 288V chip. And, talking about the memory it's available with either 16/32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 2TB of storage. And one of the key benefits of that Lunar Lake chip is that it has quite an impressive NPU and integrated graphics. So besides regular, everyday work, you can also expect decent gaming performance out of this guy. At least in some less demanding titles like Valorant and League of Legends.

Ports and connectivity

The Dell 14 Plus has a nice port selection as well. This includes one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm audio port. It supports the latest WiFi 7 standard for wireless connectivity and a fingerprint reader for biometrics. For video calls, you get a standard 1080p webcam with dual-array microphones and downfiring stereo speakers with 5W of total output.

Battery life and charging

Moving on, the Dell 14 Plus has a 64 Wh battery. And thanks to the efficiency gains of those Lunar Lake chips, Dell claims that it can last up to 22 hours during local video playback. To fill it up, you get a 65W USB-C power adapter inside the box.

For users who want more versatility, Dell also offers the 14 Plus in a 2-in-1 convertible design. Meaning this model comes with a 360° hinge to allow the users to use it as a tablet as well. And other than the form factor itself, the Dell 14 Plus and the Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 are practically the same. Including their display, processor, memory, battery, charging, and I/O options. The only minor difference is that the convertible model is slightly heavier at 1.61 kg (> 1.55 kg).

In the US, the Dell 14 Plus and 14 Plus 2-in-1 cost USD 1,100 and USD 1,050, respectively, for the base configuration. And when they launch here in Nepal, we expect the price of the Dell 14 Plus and Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 to start at NPR 174,000 and NPR 166,000, respectively.
