Core Devices, founded by former Pebble creator Eric Migicovsky, has announced two new smartwatches running PebbleOS. The Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 bring back the spirit of Pebble watches with modern features and extended battery life. The Core 2 Duo features a 1.26-inch monochrome ePaper display with 144 x 168 resolution. Additionally, it comes in a polycarbonate shell with plastic buttons. Meanwhile, the Core Time 2 offers a larger 1.5-inch e-paper display with 64 colors at 200 x 228 resolution. Furthermore, it sports a premium design with a metal frame, metal buttons, and a flat glass lens that reduces glare. Both watches accommodate standard 22mm straps for customization.

Both smartwatches run PebbleOS, which is now open-source, and support thousands of Pebble apps and watchfaces. They also include step and sleep tracking capabilities.
